Gabriel Capistrano-Question 3

For African Americans in the South after the Civil War, what help did they receive? What challenges did they face?

Slaves worked in plantations in the South. They were also used to help the Confederate forces and the North feared that the more slaves the South got, the more chances they have in winning. The North tried to help them by creating the Emancipation Proclamation. The slaves faced a lot of challenges by working for the South.Luckily Lincoln used his special powers to try to free the confederate slaves. Soon after the Civil War, the slaves were freed, but the Emancipation Proclamation didn't really free the slaves.

  1. I disagree about the special powers because he doesn't have much power since he didn't free the slaves from the north border states

  2. Good Evidence but if only you can elaborate more on why the North helped with the creation of The Emancipation Proclamation.
